
Kali Sarda Multi Adventure Expedition
If you truly want to experience the buzz and culture of Uttarakhand, the home of the holy Ganga river, as well as the beautiful nature and culture of the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand, this is the trip for you. Filled with kayaking, rafting, cycling, cultural activities -- and finally a multi day expedition on the Kali-Sarda river, the natural border between India and Nepal. On top of that, you can end your trip with a beautiful Jungle Safari in the Jim Corbett National Park. Multi adventure at it's finest, and we promise to leave you with tonnes of memories and longing to come back as soon as possible!

Itinerary
Day 1
Welcome to Delhi and drive to Rishikesh
Today you fly into Delhi where our team will meet you, and we will drive to Rishikesh - the starting place of our adventure! We'll have lunch on the way and check into a nice hotel, rest and refresh in the evening. Stay overnight at a nice hotel in Rishikesh.
Day 2
Kayaking / Rafting on the Holy Ganga
Breakfast at the hotel then we take a dip in the Ganga, adventure style! We can select kayaking and/or rafting options depending on your preferences, and select the perfect stretch of the river for the group. We have options from easy float sections, easy class II section, and our quintissential class III+ day trip section. Clean blue waters, pleasant climate and fun high volume rapids.
We'll have lunch at the riverside either in the middle of, or after our river trip, then head back to the hotel. In the evening you have options to walk around in the market, do some local shopping / sight seeing, and attend the famous Ganga Aarti by the temples near the river.
Day 3
Drive to Shivanandi River Lodge - and enter the Alaknanda
Early morning breakfast at the hotel, then we drive for about 5 hours to Alalnanda, a tributary of the Ganga. We'll paddle a short section of class II/III medium volume creek section, then take out at the Shivanandi River Lodge - a peaceful kayaking resort on the banks of the Alaknanda. Lunch, and then we have a pool where we can practice our kayak rolls and other techniques. Stay overnight at the lodge.
Day 4
Kayaking day trip on the Alaknanda
Breakfast then we drive for about an hour to our put in on the Alaknanda. We have options to repeat the section we did yesterday, or we can drive a little further and do a longer section today. Lunch at the lodge then we can either continue further downstream for another 1-1.5 hours of fun whitewater, or we can practice our rolls. If it's a mixed group, we are happy to send some of the folks downstream and the rest of the team can practice at the pool. Stay overnight at the lodge.
Day 5
Kayaking day trip on the Mandakani / Pinder / Alaknanda
Now that we have warmed up, and depending on the groups comfort with whitewater, we can either do the same sections as yesterday and take slightly harder lines, or we can step up and do another river. Depending on the water levels, we have options to do the Mandakani (class III/IV shallow creek), the PInder (class III/IV creek), or go even further up on the Alaknanda (class IV creek). In the afternoon, we can chill by the pool, practice some rolls, or continue downstream. Stay overnight at the lodge.
Day 6
Drive to Chakori - and cycle adventures
It's time to leave the lodge and embark on our journey towards the Kali-Sarda. Early morning breakfast then we drive to Chakori, which is on the way. We'll drive for about 3 hours till Gauldam, then shift to mountain bikes and ride downhill through the beautiful hills and narrow roads of the Kumaon region in Uttarakhand. Cycle for 1 hour, then we drive for another two hours and reach our resort. Lunch on the way at a nice local Dhaba/Restaurant. Stay overnight at resort in Pithoragarh.
Day 7
Cycle downhill from the resort, then drive till Pithoragarh
Breakfast then we start our day with cycling downhill from our resort for around 1 hour, till Thal. We'll have some refreshments here then pack our cycles and start our drive till Pithoragarh. Our drive will be for around 3 hours, and we'll have lunch on the way at a nice local Dhaba / Restaurant. Stay overnight at a resort in Pithoragarh
Day 8
Drive from Pithoragarh to Jauljibi, Cycling, and the Kali-Sarda
Breakfast then we start our drive to Jauljibi, the starting point of our river trip on the Kali-Sarda. We will be splitting our transit into one hour of driving and one hour of downhill cycling. At the starting point, we will have lunch at the put-in then suit up, and start our kayaking/rafting in Kali. We'll do a short paddle today and find a nice secluded spot on the river to camp. Relaxed evening and stay overnight at the campsite, where our dedicated river chef and team will cook you a nice wholesome dinner.
Day 9
Kayaking/Rafting on the Kali
Breakfast then we paddle for around 3-4 hours on the Kali. We'll have a bunch of class II/III rapids on the way, and several spots to play around in the river. Lunch on the way at a nice beach, and camp at a riverside beach.
Day 10

Breakfast then we paddle for around 3-4 hours on the Kali. We'll have a bunch of class II/III rapids on the way, and several spots to play around in the river. Lunch on the way at a nice beach, and camp at a riverside beach.
Day 11
Rest day on the Kali
Today we take a day to rest and recharge. Our campsite will be at the confluence of the Saryu and Kali-Sarda, and if interested we can hike up to a nearby temple on the banks of the Saryu -- it'll be a 3 hour hike in total. People who want to rest can take it easy at the camp site, take a nice river-side bath and sunbathe, where our team will be available to provide lunch and refreshments. Stay overnight at the campsite.
Day 12
Kayaking/Rafting on the Kali
Now that we have rested and recharged, we continue our paddling journey on the Kali. Today we will encounter one or two scouting rapids - which have multiple lines depending on the comfort level of the paddlers. We'll have lunch during our scout, and camp overnight at a riverside beach.
Day 13
Final kayaking/rafting day on the Kali
Today we paddle the final stretch of the Kali for 2-3 hours, then take out at our ending point called Boom. Lunch at the takeout while our team packs our stuff, then we say goodbyes and the group has options to get dropped to Delhi, or continue onward to the Jim's Jungle Retreat - a luxury wilderness lodge inside the Jim Corbett National Park, a national park famous for its tigers and elephants.
Day 14
Jim's Jungle Retreat - safari and relax
Breakfast the morning safari in the Jim Corbett national park, and relax and enjoy the evening at the resort, or you can go for another evening safari if you're keen. Stay overnight at the resort.
Day 15
Drive to Delhi, and (optional) local sightseeing in and around Delhi.
Our bus or SUV will drive you to Delhi, where you can either fly out, or stay the night and go shopping, explore the crowded streets, visit the Swaminarayan Akshardham, and other sightseeing options in Delhi. Stay overnight at a hotel in Delhi
Day 16 (optional)
Day trip to the Taj Mahal!
You can opt for a full day sightseeing option at the Taj Mahal. Options to stay near the Taj Mahal, or drive back to Delhi in the evening. One way drive is around 4 hours.
Day 17 (optional)
Goodbye India and fly out!
Your vehicle will drop you to the airport as per your flights. Say your final goodbyes and leave with ample memories, and plans of returning soon!
